ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister Rana Sanuallah stated that the government would consult with the legal team to determine whether a process could be initiated to declare the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) proscribed one day after Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) urged the federal government to treat the PTI as a “terrorist organization.”
Sanaullah stated at a press conference that terrorists were hiding in Zaman Park. Weapons, petroleum bombs, projectiles and different things were recuperated from the home of Imran Khan which was sufficient proof to record a reference against the PTI, he added.
Sana stated that a court process is used to ban a party. “However, we will consult with our legal team in this regard,” he went on to say government considers consulting legal team to ban PTI :Rana Sanaullah.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif previously criticized Imran Khan on Twitter.
“The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf director Imran Niazi’s recent jokes revealed his fundamentalist and aggressor tendencies, assuming anyone felt quite wary.” PM Shehbaz stated in a tweet that “He (Imran) has taken a page from the book of the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) from using people as human shields to leading “jathas” to intimidate the judiciary to throwing petrol bombs at police.”
