LAHORE: After the Punjab interim government imposed Section 144 in the provincial capital, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former premier Imran Khan called off his election rally in Lahore. On Twitter, the PTI chief stated: Since all other public activities are continuing in Lahore, it appears once more that Section 144 was imposed illegally only on the PTI election campaign.
The election schedule has been released, so how can political activity be restricted under Section 144? I’M ASKING EVERY PTI Employee Not To Fall For This Trap. As a result, we have moved the rally to tomorrow,” Imran Khan continued.
to file more sham FIRs against PTI ldrshp & workers & to use as pretext for postponing elections. Elec Schedule has been announced so how can Sec 144 be imposed on pol activity? I AM TELLING ALL PTI WORKERS NOT TO FALL INTO THIS TRAP. Hence we have postponed rally till tomorrow.
